Good Samaritan Law Protects All Donors.
The Arizona Legislature passed what it calls the “Good Samaritan Law” in August 1989. It exempts donors from potential liability or damages related to the donation of perishable foods.
Waste Not does not warehouse food.
We function uniquely as a “middle man” agency, collaborating with over 150 community partners to eliminate local hunger. Our four refrigerated trucks are the backbone of our program and eliminate the need for expensive storage facilities. More than 110 donor partners, with over 150 “pick-up points” consistently provide our agency with perishable food that would otherwise go to waste. The food is transferred to our recipient agency partners the same day it is received. We are grateful to the following for their loyal support:
