US Airways For the second year in a row, US Airways selected Waste Not as their charity of choice in the corporate partner arm of the Birdies for Charities campaign held in conjunction with the FBR Open held in February. US Airways donated $25,000 to Waste Not and the Thunderbirds added $12,500 in matching funds. We value this strong commitment by US Airways and we are proud to recognize US Airways as the official airline of Waste Not! ![]() Creative Women of Pinnacle Peak Waste Not is grateful for its partnership with Creative Women of Pinnacle Peak. Founded in 1991, this philanthropic group of women was created to fund charities that combat homelessness and hunger and provide educational support for the less fortunate. Since then, CWPP has donated more than $2,000,000 to nonprofit groups that focus on the needs of at-risk women, children, teens and young adults. Waste Not is honored and grateful to have received ongoing funding from CWPP. To date, they have been the single largest supporter of Waste Not, donating money to purchase most of the trucks in the history of our organization. Thank you Creative Women of Pinnacle Peak! ![]() Season for Sharing On March 21, Waste Not received a grant of $30,000 from The Arizona Republic/12 News Season For Sharing. Grants totaling more than $2.9 million were presented to representatives from 122 agencies serving victims of domestic violence, children and families, the elderly, and literacy and education programs. Waste Not is proud to be a member of the Season for Sharing family and tremendously grateful to receive this support as we do our part in helping make our community a better place for all of us. ![]() Maracay Homes 2006 was the second year that Waste Not received a $10,000 grant from Maracay Homes, one of the Valley’s premier homebuilders. Maracay Homes’ President Dave Bessy stresses the importance of supporting Waste Not stating, “We realize that our foremost responsibility is to build a home that our buyer is proud of and satisfied with, as well as one that we can confidently stand behind. However, our responsibility as a viable business dictates that we support our community by being an active partner that reaches beyond the boundaries of the communities we build.” Thank you Maracay, for including Waste Not in your community outreach. ![]() Summit Builders On November 3, 2006, Summit Builders held their third annual “A Day at the Races” at Turf Paradise. This colorful event focused on raising money to support charities whose mission is fighting childhood hunger. Waste Not is proud to have been selected as one of their recipients for the second year in a row, receiving a grant of $12,500. We are proud to be associated with a community partner whose efforts make a difference in the lives of thousands of children. Thank you Summit Builders!

Mr. Werner Schumacher played a pivotal role in the early days of Waste Not, serving on the board of directors in the organization's developmental stages, as well as lending financial support and expertise.
